Artist Message
My love for art began at a young age. For as long as I can remember, I have always used my hands to express myself, whether it was through painting, drawing, sculpting or creating collages from found materials. When I discovered metalsmithing more than 15 years ago, I knew I had found my passion. Designing and fabricating jewelry with precious metals and natural gemstones seems to be the answer to my calling to express myself by creating something beautiful and unique.
Inspiration for my jewelry comes to me from many things. My Mexican roots, my love of art, and my exposure to other cultures and different artforms from traveling and living abroad all influence my creations. I am drawn to the vivid colors in the natural stones that I choose and interesting shapes and textures.
Many times I look to my natural surroundings to see how different colors interact and complement each other. Blending precious metals, gemstones, crystals and beads, I lovingly handcraft necklaces, bracelets and earrings that are always one-of-a-kind. It brings me great pleasure to create the jewelry, but even more to see it worn and enjoyed. There is no better reward.
I work and live in beautiful Bucks County, PA, and share my home with my husband, two children, and our family dog.
